This speaker is great. I did notice that the volume does not go loud enough when using FaceTime or the phone. I have to keep the speaker near by, and am not able to walk around the room of my small studio apartment, and still be able to hear well.
Here's the deal. This speaker sounds quite good, for it's very small size. It is about the size of a "tall boy" can of beer. Make no mistake, no one is going to confuse the sound coming from this speaker with the sound coming from a Bose Soundlink Mini II. The Bose is $100.00 more, and a lot heavier. This speaker has pretty decent bass and has some, but not that much, top end. Also, the "360 degree full surround sound" is pure hyperbole. It goes fairly loud, but, again, a Bose Soundlink Mini II would drown it out. The bluetooth works well, and the speaker has a quality feel about it. The volume controls work fine. There is a jack for direct connecting your sound source, if you prefer to bypass the bluetooth. The skinny is, for it's size, this speaker probably has about the best sound quality that can be squeezed out of this small a package. I would call it "good enough".
