Found Tribit through clavinetjunkie on youtube. His channel is a great resource for reviews of portable speakers. The Maxsound Plus more than holds it's own with the much larger UE Boombox. The Tribit has slightly less bass than the UE, But it is much tighter and better behaved. This is with Tribit's XBass enabled, The UE has no such control. The fact that I can finally have a full sound in a very portable speaker is a huge win. Battery life has been very good, Though there is no battery indicator on speaker the bluetooth icon on my android phone indicates battery life. If you need an even more portable speaker, The smaller Tribit Sound Go is also highly recommended.
This speaker lives up to the hype! It's worth every penny. I have been using this speaker for 2 weeks now and I'm thoroughly impressed. I own a JBL Flip 4 and a Douni A7 and this speaker is better then both with truly balanced audio quality! If you are picky about sound this is the speaker to get. I also own the Tribit xsound go and that is a great speaker as well but this one for a little more then $20 more is well worth it! You will not be disappointed. Tribit is a great up and coming audio brand and their customer service is outstanding. They will do whatever it takes to make you happy and satisfied. Not to mention they have the best warranty in the business 30 day money back and 18-MONTHS replacement if anything goes wrong with your speaker also if you register your device on the company's website they give you an additional 12 months on top of the 18 months they already give you so you get 30 months of replacement warranty. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Give this company a chance they deserve it!
I use an iPod Touch loaded with well over 9000 tunes, and wanted to get a decent but small Blu-tooth player for my home (perfect for parties, get-togethers, or just chilling' with the TV off). Did a bunch of research, trying to find one that wouldn't disappoint. I looked at the original Tribit, but then noticed that this new model just came out. I ordered it, and was immediately able to connect my iPodTouch. The device is small but hefty, and I was very much impressed with the quality of the sound. I thought the XBass button was depressed already, so when I hit it I suddenly realized that I actually just turned that feature on. WOW! I did NOT expect that good of a sound quality to come from this deceptively small unit. Incredible quality at an exceptional value! Thanx!
Charged it up out of the box for 1 hour to full. Played it on Bluetooth for 8-1/2 hours straight at two clicks below full volume. Great sound! Can hear outside for about 30 feet but when sitting you can't talk over it to another person. It does have a 100 foot Bluetooth range - set it in my room and went over 100 feet outdoors with a few breaks until I sat the unit down. My wife feels it's much better than my stereo system with good highs and rumbling lows. Very very happy. Good for a personal speaker or to entertain a few people.
Wanted a Bluetooth speaker for my van, since the radio doesn't work. Let me tell you... this little guy is outstanding! It has a bass boost button as well. The music is clear, and not distorted at all if you really want to crank it up! I also use it in the house on "clean days!" It can be heard all over. Great price, great sound.! Music to my ears!!!
This bluetooth speaker manages to avoid the mid bass bloat while adding some low end heft when the X Bass is engaged. I also have the Tribit Sound Go which is also a nice little bluetooth music player. The Tribit MaxSound Plus Speaker has a larger sound with or without the X Bass engaged but sounds best with this turned on whether at a low volume or louder. The unit pairs instantly as with the smaller Tribit. I have more expensive bluetooth speaker but at about $60, this is best sounding. Recommend.
It sounds great so far. The bass boost is firm and crisp, not gigantic and janky. I would say the sound overall is 20% crisper than the Tribit XSound Go that I own, roughly, which (sadly) the bass crapped out on after about 7 months of normal use.
Let's hope the bass doesn't go bad on this one, too (I don't think it will, but if it does I will update).
