I've shopped around, this speaker meets or exceeds store-bought speakers that cost 40% more. I bought it mainly to sit on the dash of my work truck. The sound reflects and travels up the windshield, while the sticky rubber feet prevent sliding. It's pretty great overall, sometimes better than my home stereo.
Sound quality is excellent! Especially with vocals and details. Don't expect crazy volumes, but all sounds are loud, clear and balanced. There are two forward facing drivers and two bass radiators. The rear facing radiator really helps, especially if the rear of the speaker is near a wall.
Build quality is incredible. It's made of thick, tough, scratch-resistant matte plastic. It feels solid, almost like it's one piece, and it has the weight of real drivers and batteries. The waterproofing rubber plug on the inputs feels stronger and better designed than others. Plus, the lanyard is a strong, thick shoelace already tied on to a nice, thick loop. It's the first electronics lanyard I would actually trust.
After full charge, the battery will last a bit over a full workday at full vulume. You can use it while it charges, so it's great for most uses. Campers may want something a bit less thirsty, but most ppl will love this.
With all of this great quality at this price, I would definitely consider their more expensive, 360 degree speaker. However, this one is all I need, and I highly recommend it to anyone in this price range.
There is always a moment that everyone's lives where they realize what they have found is enough. It is the feeling you get when you first walked into your house, or when car shopping... That feeling where you think this was designed for only me. The Maxsound Plus gave that feeling when I first played it. It was at the bridge of the Popular song: 'Versace on the Floor' by Bruno Mars it struck me that this is easily the best $56.00 I have ever spent. The musicality of this little speaker is nothing short of amazing. The bass is exceptional. The highs and mids are great. Listening to this magical piece of tech took me back to when I was little and wanted a computer, it is all I wanted, but my parents could not afford it. The Processor was 600Mhz (blazing fast at that time), the HD stored 9.51Gb (very good memory), it had a 32x CD-ROM drive and a floppy drive. NOW my Samsung phone is maybe 5 times faster, stores 128gb in a package 30X smaller. What I am alluding to is the fact that there comes a time in every electronic where the regular person can afford something that is very close in quality to a device more expensive... that time is now here for Portable Audio.... Tribit, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you! My brother/roommate has a Bose SoundLink Mini II so I have a direct comparison. My advice is buy the Maxsound Plus and spoil yourself with a nice dinner with the $100 you saved by not buying the Bose.
Amazing sound quality and very well constructed. This is not a cheap lightweight hunk of plastic. Worked perfectly right out of the box ( the packaging was superb). Some mention that it takes to long for a full charge, mine was fully charged in less than two hours. Superb product
Bought this after watching clavinetjunkie's review on YouTube. I'm happy that I've bought it. For such a price and size the sound is perfect, so clear and balanced. Deep bass, but not blowing (and it's good). Thank you Tribit, good job. Keep on)))
